New Year Kemoket Yui is recruiting volunteer staff for its 24 January 2027 event at Tokyo Ryutsu Center. The organizer’s update log dates the recruitment launch to 27 October, and the staff page lists applications through 16 November.
The work covers reception and helping attendees, including queue management, guidance, gate control and patrols. Previous event-staff experience is not required. Applicants must be at least 18, maintain reliable contact, respect internal confidentiality and have the equipment needed to use Discord while reviewing event materials.
Volunteering also involves preparation before the event. First-time staff must attend one general briefing and one departmental briefing. Returning staff must attend a departmental briefing; the general session is recommended, with its materials still required reading if they do not attend.
General briefings are listed for 14 or 19 December, with departmental sessions on 16 or 20 December. Applicants should review the exact times and participation requirements on the organizer’s page before committing.
The application period may close early or be extended depending on recruitment, and a lottery may be used if there are too many applicants. The organizer describes this as volunteer recruitment, so an application should not be treated as confirmation of a staff place.
