KEMONart2 has concluded its 20–25 October run in Tokyo’s Ginza district after expanding into both floors of GALLERY AND LINKS 81. The gallery’s 25 October closing report says visitors waited for numbered admission tickets and spent time with the work on both levels.
The second exhibition added the upstairs space to the first-floor venue used previously and brought in three additional artists. Its official roster lists eight participants, including UDAI YAKU, nebanaka and 食宮. The format gives kemono artists a shared physical exhibition space beyond their online audiences.
The organizers describe the project as a way to experience the texture and detail of original works and understand the decisions behind them. Their account of roughly 350 visitors applies to KEMONart’s first exhibition, not this October edition; a numerical attendance total for KEMONart2 has not been established.
We’re adding the exhibition to our coverage of furry creative work in Asia. The October show has ended, so its opening hours should not be treated as a current invitation to visit. The organizer’s exhibition page remains the reference for the participating artists and the project’s aims.
