UralFurence (Уралфуренция)

A Russian furry convention and regional relaxacon described as the first large furry convention in the Urals. The documented 2015 edition met at the Trubnik tourist base near Yekaterinburg; WikiFur describes it as alcohol-free. A second edition, themed “Назад в 90-е” (Back to the 90s), was announced for November 2–5, 2018, but a contemporary furry-events calendar later reported that organizers cancelled it. Its venue and cancellation reason are not established in the sources reviewed. The Ural region lies near a disputed Europe–Asia boundary, so the series’ continental classification remains uncertain. UralFurence 2015 (Уралфуренция 2015)

UralFurence 2015, a furry convention near Yekaterinburg, ran November 6–9 at the Trubnik tourist base in Kurganovo. WikiFur reports seven furry attendees and describes it as the first large furry convention in the Urals and Russia’s first convention to prohibit alcohol. Kurganovo is near a locally marked Europe–Asia boundary; the Russian Geographical Society notes that the continental line south of Miass and Zlatoust remains disputed. This edition is therefore a border-region candidate, not a settled continental classification.
