Convention series
Furry Tea Party is Taiwan’s recurring furry gathering organized by the Furry Tea Party Working Group and Taiwan Furry Interaction Association. Its first edition was held in Taipei in 2017; subsequent editions have taken place in Kaohsiung. The organizer’s archive documents the 2017–2020 editions, the 2022 Furlympics special, and editions from 2023 through 2026. The planned 2021 Detective’s Feast was postponed during the COVID-19 pandemic and later held in 2023. The official site confirms the tenth edition for February 19–21, 2027; venue and program details remain forthcoming. The inaugural Furry Tea Party was a small, capped community gathering held at Crafting Experience Space X in Taipei on 29 May 2017. The organizer’s archive reports 50 attendees and 26 fursuiters in the group photo. Official archive: https://www.furryteaparty.com/en/history_2017_en/.
The organizer’s archive identifies this as the second Furry Tea Party, held March 3, 2018, at Pier-2 Art Center – Co-Creation Base in Kaohsiung. The organizer reports 150 participants at the capped event and 69 fursuiters in the group photo. A contemporaneous TwiPla listing confirms the date, venue address and program. FurConsCalendar’s current series timeline lists August 3, 2018, which conflicts with the organizer history; no evidence of a separate August edition was found, so this entry follows the organizer’s record and preserves the directory discrepancy.
