FurMIT (Furry Meeting in Taiwan) was a furry convention series organized in Taiwan by the FurMIT team. Its inaugural New Horizon event took place in Tainan in 2020; after the 2021 edition was postponed during the COVID-19 pandemic, editions were held in 2022, 2023, and 2024. The organizers described 2024 as FurMIT’s final year; the successor event adopted the separate UTFG name in 2025. FurMIT announced this edition for August 14–15, 2021 at Grand Royal Hotel in Miaoli County, but cancelled it because of the worsening COVID-19 situation. A June 23, 2021 report relaying the organizer’s notice said attendees could transfer tickets to the following year or request refunds; FurMIT then held its next convention as the separately named FurMIT 2022: Dawn of Destiny. Thus 2021 was a cancelled plan, not a held edition or a separate 2022 date.
